SERVICE 04 · DEVELOPMENT
From idea to a golden sample you can repeat
Photo, sketch or competitor sample — we brief the factory, iterate the prototype, engineer the packaging and lock a spec sheet, so that mass production matches what you approved.
TYPICAL CYCLE6–10 weeks
PROTOTYPES2–4 rounds
OUTPUTSpec sheet + golden sample
From an idea, a photo or a competitor link
Most of our clients arrive with a reference: a product they like, a drawing, or a price they need to hit. Our job is to turn that into a spec sheet a factory can quote against — and then into a sample that survives production.
We work with factories that have in-house engineering, because the difference between a good prototype and a producible product is usually decided by the tooling engineer, not the drawing.
- Material selection with cost and compliance trade-offs named
- 3D or CAD review, DFM feedback and tooling cost
- Packaging engineered alongside the product, not after it
- Compliance checked against the destination market before tooling

WHAT IS INCLUDED
How a product gets made
A disciplined sequence keeps tooling money from being spent twice.
Specification
Dimensions, tolerances, materials, finish, packaging, compliance target, target FOB price.
DFM review
Factory engineering reviews the design for mouldability, assembly, tooling life and assembly cost.
Prototype
3D print or CNC or soft tool. Measured, photographed and sent to you with a deviation list.
Golden sample
Approved sample sealed, signed and kept by both sides. This is the reference for every inspection that follows.
Packaging
Dieline, artwork, insert and carton engineered together with the product.
Cost engineering
Material substitution, wall thickness, assembly steps and carton efficiency reviewed to hit your landed cost.
PROCESS
Sampling without the endless loop
Sampling goes wrong when nobody writes down what was approved. We keep the version history and the deviation list.
01
Brief & spec
One page, signed, with tolerances.
02
Quote & tooling
Tooling cost, sample cost, production price at volume.
03
Prototype
Built, measured, photographed, shipped with a deviation list.
04
Revise
Documented changes only. No verbal revisions.
05
Freeze
Golden sample signed and stored by both parties.
QUESTIONS
Common questions, answered plainly
If your question is not here, ask us directly — a sourcing specialist, not a chatbot, will reply within one business day.
Do you design products from scratch?
We are not a design studio. We translate an existing idea into a manufacturable spec, and we work alongside your designer or ours when industrial design is needed.
Who owns the tooling?
You do. Tooling is invoiced to you, and we keep a written tooling ownership record with the factory. If you change suppliers, the mould follows you.
Can you develop a product to a target price?
Yes — that is the usual brief. We work backwards from the landed cost and show which specification changes are needed to reach it.
NEXT STEP
Tell us what you need. We will tell you what it costs.
Send one product link or a photo. Within five working days you get factory options, unit prices, tooling, lead time and a landed cost to your door.
