ABOUT WELSEEK

A sourcing desk in China, built around accountability

We started in 2015 with one client, one factory and a spreadsheet. Today twenty-four people in five provinces run sourcing, quality and logistics for importers in more than forty countries — with the same rule as day one: the buyer is our client, not the factory.

OUR STORY

Why we started with a spreadsheet

Our founders were an export manager and a factory engineer. Both spent years watching the same failure: a buyer in another time zone paying for goods they had never seen, through an agent whose incentives they could not check.

The first version of WELSEEK was deliberately small: one client, one product, one factory visit a week, and a rule that every claim had to be backed by a photograph or a document. That rule became the company.

Eleven years later the tools are better and the team is larger, but the model has not changed. We sit on the buyer’s side of the table, and we show our work.

HOW WE WORK

Four rules we do not bend

These are the commitments we make to every client, in the contract and in practice.

Independence

We are paid by the buyer only. No factory commission, no referral fee, no incentive to recommend the wrong supplier.

Evidence

Licence scans, photographs, measurements and inspection reports. If we claim something, there is a document behind it.

Proximity

Our team lives in the provinces where your goods are made, which is why a factory visit happens tomorrow, not next month.

Plain answers

If a deadline is unrealistic or a price is impossible, we say so on the day, not three weeks later.

THE TEAM

Twenty-four people, one desk per client

No call centre, no rotating account managers. You are assigned one project manager and one inspector, and you keep them.

Sourcing

Six category specialists

Ceramics and housewares, textiles, electronics, hardware, packaging, pet and baby.

Quality

Nine inspectors

Based in Ningbo, Yiwu, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Quanzhou. Average 7 years in factory QC.

Logistics

Four freight coordinators

Sea, air and rail, DDP clearance and FBA prep, documentation prepared in-house.

Client side

Five project managers

English, Spanish and Mandarin. One named contact per client, from brief to delivery.

WHERE WE ARE

Five provinces, one warehouse

Yiwu is our head office and small-commodity hub. Ningbo runs quality control and consolidation, forty minutes from the port. Shenzhen covers electronics, Guangzhou and Foshan cover furniture and lighting, Quanzhou covers footwear and textiles.

If your product is made somewhere else, we travel. Audits and inspections outside our base provinces are scheduled with travel at cost.

QUESTIONS

Common questions, answered plainly

If your question is not here, ask us directly — a sourcing specialist, not a chatbot, will reply within one business day.

Are you a trading company?

No. We do not buy and resell goods, so we do not profit from the spread between the factory price and your price. We are paid a service fee by the buyer.

How many clients do you take?

Each project manager handles a limited portfolio so that weekly reporting is real. When a team is full we say so rather than quietly downgrade the service.

Do you sign NDAs and exclusivity?

Yes to NDAs, always. Category exclusivity is possible for clients with a committed annual volume — ask before we start sourcing.

Which languages do you work in?

English, Mandarin and Spanish. Documents and inspection reports are issued in English unless you ask otherwise.

NEXT STEP

Tell us what you need. We will tell you what it costs.

Send one product link or a photo. Within five working days you get factory options, unit prices, tooling, lead time and a landed cost to your door.
